Santiago Cordoba & Erika Lindholm: Saxophone, electronics and drums - Buenos Aires verses Bergslagen.

Erika invites Santiago Cordoba from Buenos Aires to come to Sweden to continue their collaboration which started at the Minga festival 2023 in Gothenburg. Together they create soundscapes using drums, saxophone and electronics, all based on improvisation.

Santiago Córdoba is a multi-instrumentalist born in Buenos Aires who has been developing his unique sound both with his solo project and with prominent bands from the Argentinian music scene like, Violentango, Hombres de Otoño, many others. He has released three solo albums, and the latest was recorded with the legendary group "The Bauls of Bengal" in Calcutta, India. He has been developing his solo career through deep musical and spiritual searching, with the infinite journey as a primary objective. Sound landscapes tand organics beat of unconventional elements that project from the inside,consolidate in the outside and finish materializing inside the audience in continuous form of return and return; Legitimizing landscapes that expand creating hypnotic mantras very rich in sonority, rhythms and styles.

Erika Lindholm arbetar som saxofonist, flöjtist, klarinettist och kompositör, verksam inom jazz, världsmusik och fri improvisation. Erika har skapat och genomfört performanceframeverken “Wallée Signalerar” och "Väntan i Vården", hon komponerar för och driver bla konstellationerna “Mama Chajes Orkestar”, “Erika Lindholm quartet”, “Forslund - Lindholm” och “Dumheten” samt teater/dans -produktionerna “Mötet", "Miraklet i Danshyttan" och “Brodera Mera” (Blekinge/Kronoberg). Erika har bl.a. spelat med den brasilianska cavaquinhostjärnan João Felippe, den argentinska världskända gruppen Violentango och den folkkära svenska poeten Bob Hansson.
